I recently saw an advertisement that was as follows: Auto Loans, Personal Loans, Debt Consolidation, Mortgages and Refinancing. Credit Problems OK. Consumers Financial 1-800-247-5125 Ext. 1146. Void in OH, KS, & WI I called them and they do personal loans for either $2,500 or $5,000 (if I remember correctly). However, they ask for a "processing" or "program fee" (I forget exactly how they worded it) that was over $100 and you had to pay that up front. They also said that they can fax the details in writing. What do you all think? Has anyone heard anything about them or dealt with them? I've tried searching the internet and have not come up with one single thing about them. We need a new roof on our house (only 2 months of summer left and it won't make it another winter) and a new motor in our truck and unfortunately we just don't have the savings for either of these or any credit cards and our credit is horrible. Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks
