    Hi guys,

I filed my suit against NCO on July 3rd, 2002 and today was contacted by their attorney who wants to settle. She asked me what my terms were and what I wanted.

I stated full deletion, cease all collections of this debt now or in the future and $1000.00.

She stated she didn't think that would be a problem and who do we write the check out to???

She said she would contact NCO and finalize it with them.

Seems like NCO wants to do the right thing for once and not get hammered by me in court.

In the end I get what I wanted and it took about 90 days of writing and disputing and about $150.00 dollars to complete.

Why don't these companies just settle before you actually have to file suit?? Are they just so confident to call your bluff?? I mean I told their attorney all they had to do for free 15days ago was delete this account and stop collections. They didn't want to agree so no you need to show me the money!

I have a feeling I'll have that check soon!

On another note I had another sucess with a dentist who's collection agencies were also violating my rights and for which I am suing them now too!

I wrote the dentist that within 15 days if she did not contact her bullies and tell them to stop or have them delete this account from my credit files I would file suit against her for their actions since as my attorney stated to me "she is fully culpable in this matter!".

Today I get a fax from her attorney wanting to settle and meet my terms. It is in fact a mutual agreement releasing each other from any liability and absolving any debts due one another.

I have yet to contact her attorney because I want my attorney to read over it.

It seems like all the hard work is finally starting to pay off. I advise anyone who wants to give up to not do so and to keep on pushing!!

    Good for you!!!!!!!!

I am glad you are getting something out of them, instead of the other way around.

Good luck on the rest of it.
