Darn! Its going to get dicey trying to negotiate CC chargeoff payment for deletion (to cheat FICO), when FICO is paying them directly!!!

Grand Prize: One grand prize ...
Fair Isaac to make payment directly to one or more creditors on the winner's behalf. The grand prize value is limited to the greater of 1) $10,000, or 2) the combined total of documented outstanding credit balances held in the name in of the winner as of April 20, 2003.

It'd be really nice to win that money wouldn't it? I could use an extra $10K right about now :)

it just says documented and creditor-- if anyone needs me to sign something saying they owed me 10K before the 20 th just ask. I might even forgive the debt for $1000;)

Can two people from the same household apply? I looked at the contest rules & didn't see that anywhere, but maybe I missed it.

The company that does Myfico web site is not too far from me. I wonder if I can get the score key from my buddy???

The score key as posted was correct for me. Now the way FICO works, it may only be 24 out of 25 today.

    yeah, really jlynn,
They found that the group of 'credit geniuses' that scored 25/25 were in fact not geniuses (having both lower FICO and IQ scores) so a point was deducted. Meanwhile the group with only 24 correct were found to have an overall higher IQ and received a point for their groups performance.
On a side note --Is their a correlation between FICO and IQ?? Will we have eventually have to take IQ tests to apply for credit cards? Only time (and Fair Isaac) will tell.

You were wrong for that. That was just plain wrong. You both owe me 10K (I would accept 5K each).

This is an attempt to collect debt any information received would be used for such purpose.

I reserve the right to bring this matter before a local justice of peace if full payment or arrangement for full payment is not received within 14 days.

    This is your final warning.

    Re: Alleged Debt

    Dear Goofy Funky Whatever:

I am writing in response to your post dated April 18, 2003. This is not a refusal to pay, but a notice that your claim is being disputed. This is a request for validation made pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

I do not believe that I owe what you claim I owe, and I request that you please do the following:

1.Tell me what this money that you say I owe is for.
2.Show me how you calculated what you say I owe.
3.Give me copies of any papers that show I agreed to pay what you say I owe.
4.Show me that you are bonded in my state, and give me any registration number.
5.Stop contacting me about this or any other matter you have, except to provide me with proof that I owe what you say I owe.

    Bite Me,
    jlynn

David Ray of Dallas, Texas Won, was it one of you creditnetters? I figured out that I submitted 5 credit geniuses and 5/97 is about 5 %. 5% of 10000 is $500--not bad for an hour of fiddling around!

Incidently they just sent me a request to be interviewed to explain how I got to be such a credit genius. Do I say- the same way I have an extremely high fico score, by manipulating an poorly designed and ill-conceived system?
