Continuously Updated Credit Scores?

Ok--I'm pretty new to this board, and I understand how to get copies of each of my credit scores. . .

However, I've noticed that many of you on this board keep updates of your credit scores on your posts. Is there an inexpensive way to continuously monitor all 3 credit scores?

The credit monitoring services that I've seen seem to be rather costly and most only keep you updated on 1 bureau. I would love to keep abreast of mine and my hubby's scores. (They're so low now--although I'm not quite sure exactly how low--that I would love to see ANY movement up!!!)

    Thanks,

There is no inexpensive way to monitor all 3 scores. Privacyguard.com has a $1 special for 3 months you can pull all 3 bureau reports daily and 1 FICO score (equifax, though it's off by a few points).

If you wish to pull new updated reports you must order a triple bureau report daily and you will not be charged for 3 months. But keep track of when your 3 months are up because you will be charged $89 on your credit card. You can cancel before the 3 months are up at no cost to you.

Do the 3 bureau reports also give you all 3 scores or just the Equifax score?

I get copies of my reports for free through the mail periodically as I'm in the midst of disputing; however, I would like to also be able to continuously monitor all 3 scores. We would really like to refinance our 7.5% mortgage. We haven't had any luck whatsoever because our scores are so low. As it stands now, I just try talking to a mortgage company every couple of months to get my scores. I would mush rather monitor them myself.

I've also heard that scores sometimes rise while items are being disputed. If this is true, I'd like to be able to keep daily track of my scores (all 3 of them) so I can plan when my best time is to apply

    Thanks for your feedback.

The PG score is not a true FICO score. I've seen as much as a twenty point difference between the two.

So, how are all of you on this board able to continuously monitor all 3 scores so accurately?

I've read posts where people have talked about 2 point drops, 5 point rises, etc. due to specific action they've taken. How can I monitor all 3 of my scores in the same way? HELP!!!

If you cancel the 3 month trial with PG, can you sign up again with a different card? would be nice to save some $$$ and apply it to cc debt....

The Privacyguard.com (Equifax) FICO score is off but not by much. I was in a bank yesterday and a friend of mine pulled a "snapshot" of all 3 files so I could see what the banks see when they pull your credit and my EQ & TU scores were within 8 points of what Privacyguard.com said they were.

Btw, those snapshots don't show up as pulls on your bureau reports so if you know a loan officer at a bank get him to pull one for you if you want a truly accurate score. =)

I am not so sure you guys, about privacy guard. I paid for my score off of the equifax site and it said my score was 569. PG lists it as 628. A month ago a bank told me it was 592.

OK--so how can I get all 3 accurate scores and continuously monitor them? I don't have a friend who works for a bank.

From what I understand, you can't. You can pay Equifax and Transunion for the scores (gets a bit expensive) Experian credit expert only gives a FAKO.

Not what you wanted to hear I am sure.

Where & how have you been getting your scores?

I check the TU and EQ scores periodically from their website and I pay for them. I get my EX score from Credit Expert, but I am aware it is a FAKO score not a true FICO.

There is no way to get your accurate score from all three CRAs on a daily basis. If there was, we would all be thrilled to no end.

I know--it would be so great to have access to that info whenever you need it. It would make all of this so much easier.

    debtchoked,

I think I know what your problem is, or rather what is mis-leading you.

A lot of people that post here, they are not actually pulling their FICO scores daily, or even weekly for that matter, and most probably not even monthly.

Those FICO scores you keep seeing, those are embedded in "signature" lines. People can update/modify their creditnet account and have it put a witty, personal, or pithy comment, phrase, or link at the end of each of their posts automatically.

These are sometimes called "tag lines."

These people have created a tag line or signature and they have typed in their most recent FICO score that they have checked. Some times the people put in what their FICO score was last May and what it is this May, and place it in their tag line.

Then, every time they post a message and hit the "submit" button, their creditnet account automatically adds their tag line to the end of the post. If a person has placed a FICO score into their tagline, then it appears every time they post.

This is probably what makes it appear that they are pulling thier FICO score on a daily basis.
