Sending a Copy of a Credit File From Canada to US

    Hi Everyone
I live in the USA for 4 months a year and the rest in Canada.

I have and excellent credit file in Canada and trying to find a way to have EquifaxCanada and TranUnionCanada to send a copy of my Canadian credit file good records to their sister companies in the USA where I would like also to establish a good credit file.

1- Anyone have an idea if this is feasable ?

2- How to do it ?

3- Which good bank card issuer(S) may use my Canadian Credit File to evaluate my credit worthiness and issue me Card ?

    4- Any other suggestions ?

PS: In Canada I have an MBNA-Canada MC ($7,500) and an Amex-Canada ($17,500). Both card issuers can not (or are not willing) to issue an Authorized user on my card for the USA. And their offices can not (or are not willing) to issue me a card by evaluating my Canadian Credit file.
I do have a US address, a US phone, a US Tax id that I am using as my SS#, and my employer operates in the US. My US credit file is completely empty: nothing bad or good in it.

    Thanks to all

Any US relatives...HOW ABOUT AN "AU" card or 2...

    It is a start...

The other OPTION is like CAPITAL ONE SECURED...

    Thanks GEORGE for your reply

1- I did ask for an AU to both MBNA-Canada and Amex-Canada but they can not (or not willing to) issue me an AU card in US $ and reporting to US CRAs.

2- I do not want yet to go the unsecured credit card route because I actually have an excellent Canadian credit file rated J1. I want to try whatever possible to have my Canadian Credit file copied to my new US credit file.

    Thanks again for your reply

Ask to American Express USA if they can change your canadian card to an US product.

If not possible, you will have to start from the begin by applying for a secured card like CapOne, then in two or three months apply for an easy retail card like mobil, radioshack or whatever and then in 6 months for a Vi/Mc card or delta/starwood Amex.
