corporate credit report

I had a dispute over a bill with a creditor of my small corporation. It was a corporate debt, not personal. I was right, he was wrong. He said that unless I paid, he would report it to the credit bureau. I never paid.

Nothing has shown up on my personal credit reports. Is there a corporate credit report with the main three CRA's, or are we talking about someone else? How would I go about getting a corporate credit report on my company?

My point is that if there is a negative, I need to straighten it out now before I need credit.

    Thanks

Dun and Bradstreet is the name that comes to mind with corporate credit ratings.

That is a credit rating. But that is not the same as a credit report, is it? I'm looking for a CRA for business like EQ, TU, and EX for individuals

my understanding is that Dun and Bradstreet is a report as well. if not, call them and ask how they generate there ratings - in other words who they pull.

Business credit is very different from personal credit. One notable difference is that business cards don't get reported to anyone(except for the inquiry on the PG's credit report). Phantom accounts as it were!

It might very well just be an empty threat.

I feel certain he was threatening you with Dun and Bradstreet. You'll find them at http://www.dnb.com

They are THE business credit rating AND credit reporting bureau. A member can also instigate collection proceedings directlly from their site. (That is "ding" your business credit).

Use their search function to see if your company is listed (Very likely). Then contact them to purchase your credit report online (about $19.95 I believe).

Also, check out they guy who threatened you. You can dispute with D&B also, but or he need something in writing as proof.

My hubby uses D&B to keep watch on his vendors and get automatic notification of a dramatic change in the company's credit rating or status.

    Hope that helps.

Experian is also getting into the market of business credit reports, but are nowhere as big as D&B
