I just applied. was approved for only 500.00. Now i Have 4 Household accounts. Got the GM card 15 days ago with a 2,000 cl. that was with a 657 with no inquires. however now i have 6. so i guess all those inquires cost me money. i was declined for a Best buy card from household, but i get a 2,000 gm card and 500 corvette card? i was also declined for a target, sears/ whats the friggen deal??
Congratulations fellow cardholder! I was denied for both target/sears during the summer. I have my own little blacklist of companies that I chose not to do business with. Let's see: X Sears X Target X MBNA
maybe i could get there entire card portfolio. lol. i have 4 of there cc's and 1 of there installment loans. it just sucks now that im getting some decent cards that there brand new and i have to keep this crappy subprime cards to keep my average age up.
TRUST ME, I understand, I have the Orchard card. I can't get rid of it because it is about to make 2 yrs old, and I am getting rid of Emerge. Emerge will be my third account that I have closed within the last 3 months.
can you merge a GM card and a Corvette card, and make a combined card with a nicey pricey limit?? ya'know, the ol' citibank way...
I called GM customer service, the guy said that the cards could not be consolidated. (don't know if he was right/wrong)
If you apply for two HH cards in one day, do they pull 2x? I applied for a GM card last week... got 5000 limit plus addl 2500 upon activation... thanks for all the info!
Got approved for corvette card $3500 limit asked for increase for bt, they would not do it. Got GM card 2 months ago with 2k limit. The limits are getting higher on each approval. Score was 713 on Equifax with 3 disputes.
Congrats Dimitri, dag, I should have waited! I did apply for the GM card(I already have one) and 10 minutes later the Corvette card. So far, I only have one inquiry. That COULD be because they instantly disqualified me for having a GM account. I was heartbroken.
Well, I applied for the Corvette MC and was declined. I called and asked why and it was for a bk on my report. I disputed it along with six trade lines via CHOD, the TLs show in dispute but the bk doesn't. they pulled EQ and my FICO is 663 as of today... sux donit!

Thanks CMA, I don't think it has the same rebate plan like GM. I am still sitting on my fingers patiently waiting on my turn to be accepted for AMEX...
I would like to thank everyone here on the board. Eleven months ago my Equifax score was 617. Today my Equifax score is 716. I still have 2 collections in dispute, (I am going to court on Friday for 1 of them) 1 Judgement, and a chargeoff from 8/96, and 1 30day late. I just applied online for both the GM card and the corvette card. Both were approved online with acredit limit of 2000.00 each. My next highest non secured CL was $900.00 I would not have even tried had it not been for others in my position. Thanks a million (well at least 4000) tix
