My credit scores are low. TU= 543, EX= 561. Many of my negative lines will fall off in the next 2 years but if I can do anything about it sooner I'd like to. Here are my negatives:

    Afni inc/ Cingular
    balance $1110
    DOLA 7/2004
    Date major del 1st reported 9/06 (??)
    collection account
(account was mine but $$ seems way high)

    Asset Acceptance Corp/Providian
    balance $0
    DOLPayment 2/02
    DOLA 8/00
    paid collection
    (verified)

    Capital One
    balance 0
    DOLPay 11/00
    DOLA 11/00
date major del reported 10/03 (??)
    paid charge off
    (verified)

    Figis
    balance $31
    DOLA 2/04
    collection
    will pay for deletion?

    HSBC
    balance 0
    DOLA 9/03
    charge off

    Swiss colony
    balance $173
    dola 2/02
    charge off
    will pay for deletion?

    Calvary/Americredit
    balance $6834
    assigned 12/02
    date of 1sr del 5/02
    collection
    (verified)

    NorfolK Financial/household bank
    balance 1275
    Date of status 9/06
    collection
(I don't believe this is my account or the dates are very very wrong. I have disputed this account and it has been verified. I have requested validation)

    David taylor and Assoc./household bank
    balance 1284
    date of status 10/06
    collection
(I think this is the same as above account. will dispute as not mine first)

    Providian
    balance 1365
    charge off/transferred
    date of status 3/02
    (verified 1/03)

Any advice on what to do next?

Most of the above tradelines belong to debt purchasers. Dispute the account type field insofar as they are probably reporting as "open" which is inaccurate in that by virtue of the fact that they are "collection" accounts, they can only be reported as "closed." Moreover, dispute the balance histories, if any, and corresponding dates of initial delinquency/date of last activity.

As a stop-gap measure, send these furnishers communications directly noticing them of their violations of the FCRA and CC your state AG, BBB, and even a private attorney if you've spoken to one. Furthermore, attempt to locate an address for the CEO's/Presidents or even registered agents. You can usually do so on Secretary of State websites.
