Just found out yesterday that our new mortgage is going to be sold to Countrywide effective tomorrow. They certainly didn't waste any time!!! Does anyone have insight of how they are? We didn't apply with them because we felt we wouldn't have been approved since they seem to be A-paper oriented. I also see they have insurance, investments and banking to get everything under one roof...sounds both convenient and scary.... Also, what happens during a mortgage changeover? I noticed that our 2-month old mortgage isn't even reporting on any of our reports--so will it start with Countrywide or will they back-date the loan info?
I've had countrywide for six months...this is the first month they reported...which is normal....my mortgage was also bought by them and the are one of the biggest...fear not...I think they're great...and great on-line access!! They'll report from the beginning but it usually takes about six months...which is better...it lets the account age a little bit.
Well that sounds promising then. I called and I didn't get a warm fuzzy feeling because they couldn't locate our account! The rep said to try in a month, we'll see...
I have been with Countrywide since 1998 and I have no complaints, there customer service is the best and the pay options are great. Nothing but PRAISES to them !
