I have been trying to research the revisory power of a judge to have judgments stricken/dismissed from the record. It seems (at least to my uneducated legal mind) one way to do this is to motion the court and request that the court exercise its revisory power and have the civil judgment striken from the record. I have also been trying to research voluntary dismissals of judgments in which the plaintiff consents to dismissal of the judgment and agrees to have the judgment stricken from the record. Are any of you familiar with the above procedures? I have been doing my research through Lexis Nexis for the State of Maryland. I currently have 2 judgments: 1 entered in 8/1998 and the other in 1/97. Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
