I ordered my credit report from TU online and I have a few COs. All of them appear in exactly the same format as shown below: Code: AMERICAN EXPRESS #0000000000000000 PO BOX 000000 EL PASO , TX 00000 (800)000-0000 Balance : $4,000 Date Updated : 03/2008 Account Type: Revolving Account High Balance : $4,000 Pay Status: >Charged Off as Bad Debt< Credit Limit : $3,500 Date Opened: 10/2003 Past Due : >$3,200< Date Closed: 06/2005 Responsibility: Individual Account Loan Type: Credit Card Remark: Account closed by credit grantor Estimated date that this item will be removed: 09/2011 I can't see the DOFD, DOLA or any of the 30,60,90 and CO dates anywhere on the report. There is no clickable link that would reveal any of this info. And all accounts that show up on my CR are int he same format and only has these fields. 1) How do I see that sort of info - mostly the DOFD ? 2) This was the free annual CR. Do I have to pay to get a hardcopy report sent to me ? (I couldn't see any links to do that either)? Thanks /JP
I would determine for myself the DOFD. Be Stealth. DOFD is when a payment became delinquent; usually 30-days past due. For example, payment due April 4; DOFD would be June 3. If CRA is reporting date closed and using the date to determine reporting period, it could lead to a FCRA violation. Don't do CRAs job by providing information. Let their records lead to violations and let them learn the hard way. Treat corporations as they have treated you.
