I'm in the process of cleaning up my credit and for about the last six months or so I have been an authorized user on my fiancés American Express charge account.. To start the process of getting my own card under her account I had to fill out an application like I normally would and I have been using it for the past 6 months or so and we have been paying the balances in full every month.. My question is, will this have ANY positive effects on my credit score or am I hoping for something that can only affect her score? Thank you, Ashton
Your account, and activity, will show up on your credit report. I would verify the age of the account, to ensuer you are getting the benefit of the age of your fiancee's account towards your credit history.
