I contacted a CRA and tried to speak to a rep about my CR and recieved an automated voice activated message. I then chose the option which states a consumer can speak to an agent I was then placed on hold for over 11 minutes until the called was dropped. I believe the FTC sued the CRA over a similar access issue years ago? has anyone been able to speak to a rep about a dispute or is online dispute the only option now?
When I called to dispute with all 3, I dialed the number on the credit reports I had gotten back after the investigations. What I brought up with them dispute wise had nothing to do with the what I had just disputed, but I was able to get through and talk to someone because I had a file number/report number of stuff they had just sent me. Those phone numbers were different than the main lines. I am not sure if they will speak to you without a report number, but here are the numbers I called anyways. EX 1-800-583-4080 EQ which for me was CSC 1-888-700-3183 TU 1-800-916-8800
