I am currently dealing with an unscrupulous debt collector in regard to a debt I have never heard of. I am almost 99.9% positive that there is no way that I owe this debt. THis particualar agency refuses to my letters that ask for some verification or proof of this alleged debt. Every time the collectin agency responds with a form letter and a computer printout with the name of the original creditor and the amount that I owe and the dates of service. It is supposively some sort of medical bill. I have not been in the hospital in 18 years so I doubt the validity. Anyways, I have disputed the item with Equifax and the collection agency. Unfortunately Equifax refuses to remove the information because the collection agency keeps verifying the information as true each time I dispute the item. The Collection agency refuses to send me proof(signed contract or something that would hold up in court) what can I do. I want to buy a house. Also they refuse to negotiate on small amounts, $33.00.
I called to see if there was any way to resolve this stupid thing. They refuse to help me!Can I get the bureaus to remove the debt if the collection agency wont send me real proof(document with my signature)

Well, just because you never heard of the debt does not mean they are unscrupulous. I think he is simply sick and tired of wasting his time reading letters that are unnecessitarly bombastic, full of nothing but sophistry and stuff that is off the wall and out to lunch in his opinion. If that isn't the way he feels then why don't he accept the letters like a good boy? It's most likely because he thinks that's the gist of the matter and he don't have time for that kind of trash.

Again, that's what he most likley thinks. By refusing to accept any more letters from you, He probably thinks he is doing you the best service he possibly can because when he refuses your letters, he is, in net effect, telling you that he thinks you are wasting your money with the trash and he is hoping you finally send him something he can do something logical and is short, sweet and right on point.
Of course, since you have angered him, he just may decide to go ahead and sue you even if it costs him money. After all, he sure would have a library full of spam to show the judge, wouldn't he now? If you even dared show your face in court, he would attack you like a wounded tiger.

You need to do things differently. Don't expect results out of things that have no legal backing for your statements and when they backfire just as yours has done, you have the next step(s) all ready and waiting to go. Spamming the credit bureaus and collectors simply sends the loud and clear signal that you have nothing in your sails but hot air and sophistry.
