I had an negative item removed from my CR in July 09. I was checking my CR today and now it's back. How can they do that? Is there away to fight this?
I don't have the FCRA in front of me, but I'm fairly positive that an entry can be re-inserted. They are required to give you notice within five (?) days. Problem is, they can "forget" to send notice and it would likely get dismissed as a "bona fide error". Worse, they may have sent you a notice, but you accidentally threw it out as junk mail. I would suggest contacting the CRA and asking for an explanation. Always CMRR, of course.
