Anybody have good fax numbers for the CRA's? They aren't listed on their sites and havent found any good ones on the net yet.
1. Will it be easier to just call them up and ask for the fax numbers? 2. Considering all the emphasis the experienced members here have placed on written letters sent RRR to CRAs, are the fax numbers really useful?
I think CMRRR letters are more useful than faxes. A piece of mail is signed for. While fax transmissions return confirmations, these confirmations only prove that the recipient got it. Then it will become a clerk's responsibilty to direct the writing to the proper channel.
It's not for a very important dispute, its just for one of my old addresses and I don't have any derog. accounts linked to it so I'm not too worried about it, just trying to get it corrected. I'm sending out a CMRRR tomorrow but was thinking about faxing it as well. I called the CRA's but they were closed....plus im in Iraq and don't have access to the phone all the time and we have a 10 hour time difference here.
