CRA for Discover Card

    Can someone tell me which credit reporting agency or agencies are used by the Discover organization? I try to avoid the creeps at Experian as much as possible.

    It may be TransUnion. I opened an account on May 3rd, but the inquiry didn't show on my Experian or Equifax reports on June 26th.

    As far as I know Discover uses TransUnion for the intial application. If you are approved and subsequently request a credit limit increase, they use Equifax.

    I think it depends on where you live, when I applied for the card they pulled equifax.

    On the CreditMania website:
    (www.creditmania.com), Discover or Novus is listed as pulling either TransUnion or Equifax. Perhaps the deciding factor is where you live, or perhaps it is the type of transaction you have initiated (plat. app vs. standard card)
