CRA updates?

    How often do the CRAs update your files? How many times a year and when? The reason I'm asking is I just closed 2 cards and wanna wait for my report to update before I apply for a new card. Thanks

    Daily/Hourly... If you're waiting for a card to show closed... it's up to the original creditor... could be next day, could be in 2001....

    DID YOU MEAN TO SAY IN 2002???

    Everyday, every week, once a month, every other month, quarterly...WHEN EVER THEY WANT!!!

    IN THE CASE OF DISCOVERCARD...ONLY WHEN YOU DO NOT HAVE A $0.00 BALANCE!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks for all the replies. I think i'm going to wait until the closed accounts show up on my report before I apply for any credit. Thanks again this board has helped me go from having no credit at all to having a little bit of credit which has helped me alot.
