i have disputed 3 times 1 via internet and 2 via mail all three major bureaus. I have 2 derogatory items. ,both related to the other the OC HSBC and the resulting collection Midland Credit. Each of my 3 reports is differnet for the Midland entry. One has it as open and 120 days late one has it open but paid and the other has it paid collection. On the HSBC account on one of the 3 reports it has $410 charged off and the other $1034 charged off. I sent HSBC and Midland 3 letters each certified asking about the validity and correctness as well as the CRA with no response from HSBC or Midland. The CRA"S validated the debt as correct all three times incorrectly as I mentioned above. My 2 questions are this 1. When I dispute again should I tell them what is wrong or just claim that there is something incorrect as I did before and 2. doesn't HSBC as an OC have to provide me with original documentation of the credit card? I appreciate any help as I want to straighten this out. I was thinking that I dispute the CRAS and photocopy the return receipts explaining how they ignored me. Also I don't want to simply have them correct it and then lose my footing. THANKS AS ALWAYS FOR EVERYONES WISDOM
Forget HSBC . . . we've told you this before. It's not coming off absent suing them for failure to mark the tradeline as being disputed. While it is effective, it is a dubious claim. However, it is typically worth about 1.5k in your pocket and deletion. Do with this information what you will. As for Midland, you just cannot say it's inaccurate. That's like saying it isn't yours. Very little verification required amongst the data fields. You need to dispute the "account type" and "pay status." Apply this methodology to all three CRA's. At this point, forgo contacting MCM. Obviously, they're not taking you seriously. They typically adopt this posture unless you contact their counsel in MS . . .
