A couple weeks ago I sent all 3 CRA's copies of my C1 statements for both cards and asked them to update the credit limits of both my cards. So far, I have not heard back from TU. EQ lists one of the 2 accounts in dispute, and today I received an updated copy of my report from them. Here's what it said: We reseached the credit accounts. The results are: (btw, they only listed 1 account, not the other C1 account) "Additional information has been provided from the original source regarding this item. See enclosed credit file." We have reviewed your concerns and our conclusions are: "The additional disputed accounts are not currently reporting on the Equifax credit file". (WTF??) I checked the report they sent, and under one of the C1 accounts it says "Account Closed- Reason Unknown" WTF??? I checked with C1 and it's still open, so I have no clue what that means. Experian sent me the following: "We are responding to the information you sent us. Unfortunately, we could not use this information. We are contacting the source of the information you questioned. When we complete our verification process, which may take up to 30 days, we will send you the results". The information I sent was recent statements + a copy of the page you get when you receive a new card (the one that shows your account number and credit line). Has anyone else had any success getting the CRA's to report their true C1 credit lines?
I'm having the same problem, but only with EX. I sent the following letter with a copy of my statements (I circled the credit limit and account number). XXX XXXXXXXX XXXXX, XX XXXXX To Whom It May Concern: I am concerned as I have two accounts that are being reported incompletely. I have enclosed the credit card statements for both accounts to reflect the correct information. Both accounts are reporting my credit limit as $0, which is incomplete and inaccurate. I have also circled the correct information on the statement for your convenience. Please update this information immediately. Thank you. â?¢ XXXXX / Acct #XXXX Credit limit should be reported as XXXX â?¢XXXXX / Acct #XXXX Credit limit should be reported as XXXXX Sincerely, EQ and TU corrected the accounts but I got a generic letter from EX describing what a credit limit is and what a high balance is and that was it!! )~
"THIS IS NOT A REQUEST TO INVESTIGATE...THIS IS A REQUEST TO GIVE ME A 100% CORRECT AND ACCURATE REPORT...ALL THE ANSWERS ARE ATTACHED...NO INVESTIGATION NECESSARY"
At least you guys didn't have them delete your perfectly new, perfectly positive Citibank AA Master card from your Experian report because you wanted them to report the credit limit like every other CRA does. (I've checked all three). Experian decided that since I disputed it that I don't want it to report and deleted it. I need to call them and have it put back on!!
