Its interesting how the Credit Bureaus deal with disputes. It seems like you have more rights and privileges if you commit a criminal offence as opposed to disputing with the 3 major CRAs.

If you get a speeding ticket, or if you are arrested for committing a crime â?? you can defend yourself through the courts â?? all the way to the Supreme Court â?? if you have the time and expertise. You can hire an attorney or you can represent yourself. As a matter of fact, the courts would rather that you hire an attorney as opposed to representing yourself - while the CRAs do not wish for you to hire an attorney or credit repair agency to represent your interests. Even if you know that you are guilty of speeding â?? you still have the right to challenge the ticket in court â?? as with any other crime you are charged with.

I find it is ironic that, despite its imperfections, the courts are probably easier to deal with, provide you with more assistance and privileges, and guarantee (through the US Constitution) more checks and balances than the CRAs.

CAs are like muggers except they report you to the CRAs .
