I did a voluntary repo (For a junker) within 30 days of opening account with Credit Acceptance. They only appear on my experian report. It was opened on 02/93 and I have had no activity since then. They last reported on 11/99. Is this legal? I live in Fla. Experian says this will be on my report until 3-2006!!! How do I go about getting this removed. My prior address where I lived is also on report(when I had junker).Thanks.....Shawn

Is it legal that they reported on 11/99? Yes, they can keep it on your report for 7 years, but if this repo happened back in 02/93 then this information is outdated and it should be removed from your report. You can write a dispute letter to Experian and ask to have it removed, here's a sample dispute letter to give you an idea:
