    Hi All,

I am looking into getting a new card...one with a rate of possibly 12.99% or less and much lower on balance transfers. I want to consolidate some debt to it. Here is a short rundown on my credit:

    FICO @ 650-660
Relatively short credit history of 1.5 years but 1 card with over 5 years
    No negatives at all
    Recent mortgage @ $250000

Any recommendations? I'm looking for a credit limit of about $5000. Thanks!

I'd give Citibank a shot. You can usually apply for their lower standard cards and after approval, move up to a Platinum one.

I too suggest citibank. My scores were alittle bit higher (not much) then yours and I applied for a citibank card and was instantly approved for 2400. Now it isn't much, but I called them and asked to be switched to the platinum card (I applied for the aadvantage which has an annual fee!) cause I did not want to pay an annual fee. The retention guy was nice and said he'd call me back to set it up (it takes 4 days for all my info to be in their system) plus I'm going to do a BT so I'm going to ask for a higher CL while switching.

    Good luck!
