    Yep.

I noticed this about a month ago and then heard that it is only preapproved mailings now.

I went ahead and tried to access http://www.directmerchantsbank.com and could not find any cards to apply for.

Thank you, Brad! I think I"ll note "Pre-approved mailings only" so if someone gets a pre-approval, they'll have a reference....I really appreciate the update and your effort on researching this. thank you!

When you say ford is BK friendly, how long after ch7 BK discharge do you have to wait?

Re: Re: Re: Need to update the list ...

Well, the problem with that entry is that the info was provided by several but none seemed to have specifics of actual approval...there were enough people telling me that it seemed important to add the info but I never got the details. Would love to have them to add it properly!! :

    Anyone?

My discharge was in April 2000 and I was able to lease in August or September with very little down (basically tax and title). The lease was at Ford's best terms at the time. Since then I've bought the car.

I know cell phone companies are not exactly what you are looking for but Qwest, only in certain states does take in BK people with no deposit. I had personal success with it. They did not even pull a hard inquiry. They run your personal history with them, home phone in certain areas.

Mazda(ford) approved me 1 day out of chapter 13, mazda tribute$ 18,250 loan 11% $2000 down and pmts of 398 60 months. they pulled all 3 CRAs and my low score was 555 and high score was 602 FICO. I do not use FACO scores. it took 6 days of calls to the dealer but it all finally came together, they even allowed me to post date a check for 30 days for half of the down pmt.

Nana, What other information do you need?

Re: Re: Need to update the list ...

    Nana,
I had 2 Dismissed BK-13 showing as well as a BK-13 filed entry on all 3 I also had a letter from the court saying that I had completed the BK and discharge was pending. The report was the first time I had looked at it 3 years and it was a mess. I should have done my homework but did not know about this great group. I also had 3 paid tax leins on each report but everything was about 3 years old.
they had a lot of trouble getting me approved they tried ameriquest, BofA,Bank one and a few others( can you say a ton of hards) but Mazda finally came through.

NanaC, please update the note on BofA to reflect what I was told by a CSR supervisor - BofA wants 7 years from BK and even their secured card is 5 years after BK. I had "special circumstances", had 3 TLs since my BK w/14% utilization on $16k CL, 683 FICO and they truly could care less.
