Regarding installment loan products (auto+home), I would say yes, credit unions are very BK friendly and the rates are very good (all things considered). However, for revolving unsecured (credit cards) at least for me has been very BK UNfriendly even though I have a auto loan with them. I'm interested to see others response.

This is a good question to ask.

    Re: Re: Updates...

I applied for Chase Perfect, was rejected for BK (2.5 years old). I appealed on PFB and via email, since I have a car loan w/them for 8 months and they didn't have a problem with my BK there.

Waiting to hear back, will update as I hear more. Fingers crossed...

    Nana,
Denied for a kohls card, pulled TU, Reason high utilization and accounts too new, Target and cap 1 at 0 bal and 0 high credit so I guess 0% of 0 equal too high utilization
    As george says "frivilous denial"

Nana you may want to add Kay Jewelers to not BK friendly (my experience) even at the 2 year 2 month mark. ?? The phone call specifically mentioned a 'recent' bankruptcy as one of the reasons of denial.

Although some have had success after BK.

Your guess is as good as mine as to where you want to put that on your list....which is wonderful by the way.

    Chase & Citi sharing blacklists?

Got the weirdest rejection letter from Chase. Yes, they're BK unfriendly. Have a car loan for 8 months w/them, thought I could build on our "relationship". More here:
    http://consumers.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?s=&postid=395202#post395202

Since they mention Citi and not other bank/cc, I wonder if they're looking out for each other and maybe sharing blacklist info?
    http://consumers.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?s=&postid=395240#post395240

So, 2 years and four months post Ch7 filing, Chase is not interested.

I have to be honest..I was nonprime for so long, I didn't read much about prime stuff until just recently..and I had just gotten the card...
so a lot of what I've learned has been recent..

LOL..it's important to remember how much better they looked to me than Emerge, Aspire, CCB..lol...
