I received a "Guaranteed Approval" credit card offer today from First National Bank of Marin. Anybody familiar with this company? Is this the same as First National Credit? It is a secired, or partially secured, depending on your credit limit. They charge a $49 processing fee and an annual fee of $72. They charge a $200 security deposit to the card and then your limit will be $200-600 (probably $200) Anybody have this card or one similar? Is it worth it?

I have read a lot of bad things about them. Perhaps you should check out E-opinions and the like. They have lots of complaints on different sites. I would compare them to Cross Country Bank.

    its not worth it.

First try: Aria.com, then Capitalone secured..

Aria will give you a unsecured card if you have 6 months good tradelines to date. Albeit high fees, unsecured. Cap 1 usually likes to give out $49 for $400 or $99 for $500 secured lines.
