i may be mistaken about question..Privista is for help in protecting againsi ID&credit theft/fraud...where you refering to"credit card protection" as in covers mininmum payments in case of illness/unemployment?....if so Privista is not an option.

    RE: i use it

Im using the free 3 months of credit protection service with citibank. The dot com industry is bleak, i talked to them about it. Basically if i get laid off, i dont have to pay my bill for up to 2 years WITHOUT accruing interest or late fees. Your balance remains locked. Also works for injuries etc.

I asked them " So if i get laid off, cash advance myself $4000 if needed, and invoke this, no problem?" they said sure as long as you have written proof of unemployment after 30 days..

Its a nice safety net if the market gets ugly i can always pay rent n stuff :) or have enough money to live off of while collecting government cheese.

Sam gave his thinking on the "creditcard protection service" and I can see a reason there(i do not use this service)......The service Privista offers WEEKLY monitoring of Experian report for less than 40 cents a week for any activity.I used to check my report semi-annually but still in the mean time would be concerned about possible fraud(i have not personaly been a victim of this but my understanding is this happens to over 500,000 people yearly now)
