I am beginning the journey of improving my credit. Ive been in school for the last 3 years while supporting family of 5. Now I am making 100k and ready to repair the damage done while in school with a limited income.

All 3 CRA scores are right at 550. Is it possible to get the Orchard unsecured card with a score this low?
All of my debts are current and collections paid. I thought I would ask to possibly prevent a hard inquiry and still being denied. I am sure it is impossible for anyone to know for sure although, I would like to use the "poll the audience" life line.

Thanks in advance for any opinions.

There is a possibility to improve your opportunity for credit available by a review of collection accounts "paid" currently on your credit reports.

Are all paid collections accounts being reported equally and accurately at all Credit Reporting Agencies?

It can be something as small as a date, one "late" not on another report, or any detail on the account. If the account is not being reported accurately, you do have the option to dispute the paid account and you do not have the obligation to tell the OC or CA what is *not* being reported.

Once an account is "paid", and "closed", they do not have a permissible purpose to make an inquiry on your credit report - they risk a $1,000 violation.

If you were a OC, what would you do? Risk a $1,000 violation over a paid, closed account or just delete the account in question?

in your opinion, what is the best way to have these "paid" collections removed?

I am prepared to begin writing debt dispute and/or debt validation letters. Should I mail letters to the CRA and the CA or just one of them. If I should send letter to the CRA's, do I send to all 3 agencies or just one?

    Thanks much for your opinions!

I am truely excited and motivated to start punching back!!!!!!!
