If you have several rebate cards, is it better to concentrate on one or two, to maximize the rebates, or to use several cards, to make sure they all get used? Also, if you pay your balances in full every month on the credit cards, and have no problem doing this, wouldn't use of a debit card (where there is no rebate) be a waste of time, as well as potential rebates?
On card use, I tend to alternate. I just got a CL increase from Cap1, so I've put everything for this month on Cap1. I pay the balance in full, so there's no interest, and next month I'll call and ask about an APR decrease. "I would like to keep a balance on the card, as you can see I do use it, but not at these rates. Is there a way to get this lowered?" I will then use my DMB card, which just gave me a 4% promotional rate. On the subject of debit cards, until recently I have been using my paypal debit card. It rebates 1.5% on the spot, and it earns 1-2% while sitting in the paypal account. I don't have any other cards w/cash back, so that's my best deal.
