My wife has 3 credit cards. Two of them charged magazines subscriptions to her cards without her consent. Can anything be done about this?
Re: credit cards /magazine rip Contact the credit card companies that the charges appear on and tell them these are unauthorized charges. The cc will take down your information and mail you a dispute form to fill out. It is important that fill out the form(s) and return them asap. Best regards, Sam
Re: credit cards /magazine rip With credit cards, you have 60 days from the time you receive a statement to dispute IN WRITING TO THE CC company) any charges that appear on it. (Maybe it's 30 days - my memory isn't very good today, but I think it's 60). Then you get to deal with their process of dispute, verification, yada, yada. I bought a college textbook from bigwords.com. They sent the wrong book. I looked all over their website - no address, no phone number - only an email address. I wrote twice and requested an RMA. No reply ever received. Finally, I just disputed it with the CC company. The CC company called me to start the investigation. They asked me if I returned the book to them. I had to tell them three times, during three different conversations, that there was no way for me to return the book without an address (none was provided on the shipment). Eventually, they just credited my CC account. I still have the book they sent in error.
