    Hi,
I am moving out of the country for good. I am wondering how do I manage the credit cards and banking accounts I have in U.S. I have credit cards from Amex, discover, visa and mastercard and banking accounts from citibank and hsbc. Do I need to close the accounts as I will not have a physical address in US when I move out in a month. I was here on a work visa and I am not a US citizen or permanent resident. What are the bank policies regarding this. Any advise appreciated.

    Regards,

    Sam

Keep managing your accounts as you always have. SSN's are assigned for life, and your credit card/bank accounts are attached to your SSN.

Both Citi and HSBC are global banks. I lived overseas in Asia and continued to bank with HSBC - nothing ever changed. Just provide them with an updated address overseas, or a friend's place in the US if they demand you give them a US address. Then continue to manage your credit card accounts online and you shouldn't have any problems.
