I was listed as an authorized user on a Cap one Visa credit card and now the person who is the holder of the card stopped payiong it.Onmy credit report they list it as charged off account and that I was an authorized user.Can they out this on my credit report. Also a friend of mines told me to call them and try to make a settlement with them.She says she has heard of them offering credit cards to people with no money om it to ou pay off the money you owe.Examole you owe one credit card they buy that dabt offer you a limit of what you owe then you have no money available to you pay that off.ANY advice would be helpful..
If you're are an authorized user you're not responsible for the card. Just dispute it through the credit bureaus "as not mine". They should delete it with no problems. AU accounts are probably one of the easiest things to remove. Dani PS If it is your friend's card and you used it I would probably reimburse him or her for what you purchased, but do not contact Cap One to settle - it isn't your responsibility.
