OK, I'm at the point where I'm looking into a reputable credit counseling/debt management program to enter into and I'm wondering if they can arrange payment for charged off accounts as well as delinquent accounts? Also, does anyone have any success stories (and perhaps recommendations) with CCCS?

I'm not sure if anyone here would recommend credit counseling (but I could be wrong) - most folks come here to learn how to do it on your own. There's a bunch of helpful info on this site - it takes a lot of reading, but it's worth it!

Well, I'm also interested in doing it just to get on a plan and get stuff paid off once and for all. I think it would probably be a good thing for me to do personally but I know some would disagree.

I hear you, credit repair gets pretty stressful at times.
All that matters is that what's right for you.

i'm not against credit counseling but research these boards and THOROUGHLY research the CCCS you are thinking of using and chose what is best for you.

no one here will fault you for doing what makes you comfortable even if it isn't something we would do.

i did look into CCCS on trying to pay off my CO Crap 1 cards but they couldn't help me.

credit counseling? Flee like a baby Cheetah at supper time. I delt with one before. They don't do anything that you cannot do yourself.

Keep one thing in mind.......Whats more important? Your satisfaction of having your debts paid in full or your credit rating to improve. The fact of it is that once you start paying again, you start your clock ticking again. Once it is neg on your credit rept that is how it will stay. I know you think you are doing the right thing but in the end you in fact hurt yourself. It will show up on your credit that you are going thru a credit counselor and will hurt your score and stay on for another 7 years from the last payment you make with them. So it just depends on what you are trying to acheive.

I would not enter into a cccs.
Get all credit reports. Examine them carefully.
Make sure you don't have anyone else bills.

Open a bill paying checking account that pays interest.
    Deposit all payments here first.
Get a CC to pay your bills.
When you get your CC Statement write a ck on the bill pay account to pay it off.

You may also look into a 0% balance transfer card.

CREDIT CARDS ARE NOT MONEY BUT A TOOL USED TO MAKE MONEY...
