I have been approved with an American Express Green Card with membership reward points! I never thought I would want another American Express Card since they didn't play fair the last time I had one, but I received an invitation to apply in the mail and I went online and filled it out. Got an email saying I needed to call a phone number to give them more information. Turned out all they needed was a physical address (they had my PO Box on file). I now have a few store credit cards, a Target Visa (which I somehow managed to keep clean throughout my previous credit mess) and a Discover "IT" card (received several months ago). I've had to use my credit a little more than I would have liked to some unexpected things hitting me, but it feels good to know bad times don't have to mark you for life!
Not too thrilled about the $95/year annual fee but I suppose they have to make their money somehow as this is a charge card and as such I have to pay it off every month. They are waiving the fee for the first year. Don't plan on using it too much really but it's the only credit card Costco accepts.
