When you request a credit increase for a credit card, do banks usually pull your credit report?

Call and ask for a prequalified limit increase. Tell them that you don't want a hard inquiry on your credit reports because that is detrimental to you FICO score.
A lot of times they offer CLI based on your payment history with them.

JUST ASK FOR A "PRE-APPROVED" CREDIT LIMIT INCREASE...(NO CREDIT REPORT)

"IF" THEY SAY THEY MUST PULL...IT IS UP TO YOU IF IT IS WORTH THE "HIT" OF <7> POINTS

To me it is NOT worth the "HIT"

For some people an inquiry might cost more (or less) than 7 points.
