Does anybody have an estimate as to how many points you lose with inquiries?? Do they rate them by individual or by amounts in 3, 6, 9 month times??

The reason I ask is that I visit a site called Askme.com and I have gotten some good advice on a number of subjects, however there is one so called expert who claims, gets this that inquiries count for 10 points a piece!! I personally think he is giving bad advice, at one point of my credit history I had about 30 inquires, sorry but my score was down by 300 points according to his stats I'd be in the 900 club, and who the heck is there??

    Just curious of your thoughts??

5 POINTS PER INQUIRY ACCORDING TO VOICESTREAM...

6 MONTHS MATTERS FOR NEW CREDIT, AFTER 6 MONTHS IT DOESN'T MATTER AS MUCH.

POINTS YOU LOSE, NOT GAIN PER INQUIRY...

I heard 10 or more inquiries in the last 6 months is considered to be a max cutoff before doing some damage to your record. Is this an accurate estimate?
