I have another post needing advice about how to handle two CAs trying to collect on the same twelve year old alleged debt. One of them has made an inquiry show up on my credit repoart that I did not authorize. Is this legal or did the CRA break a law? It was Experian that the showed the Inquiry.
Welcome to the board, astonished. Glad to see you made it. Things are a little slow on sat and Sun so just hang in there. I assure you this place isn't like the rikers board. Folks make the new guy feel welcome. Any of you have any tips to help him with his concern?
Thank you lbrown. I guess I should have kept quiet about the "rikers" person but those kind of actions are absolutely uncalled for. I appreciate your help in every way. This credit "stuff" is a real hard nut to crack. Doesn't seem to be a right answer from reading all the different posts. Being an engineer I am not used to such ambiguity.
1* I guess I should have kept quiet about the "rikers" person but those kind of actions are absolutely uncalled for. 2*This credit "stuff" is a real hard nut to crack. 3*Doesn't seem to be a right answer from reading all the different posts. astonished ========================= 1*No it needed said. That board has just about completely fizzled out since rickers pulled that stunt. Hardly any new post on it and even fewer replies since that incident. Seems rickers succeeded in killing the board with that stunt. I found him to be one of the most cocky arrogant know it alls that I ever came across. 2*Just stick around and you'll learn a lot. You didn't learn to be an engineer overnight either. 3*Actually there are right answers wrong answers and untested answers.
Re: Re: Credit Inquiry/Legal? As long as they have a collection account under your name they have a PP to pull your credit report (Collection Purpose). Age of the account itself doesn't directly affect the PP.
Re: Re: Re: Credit Inquiry/Legal? Didn't we just go through a lengthy discussions with hiding90 about this not very long ago? Wouldn't happen to recall that thread would you? ><- <>- ><- <> ~~~ ><- <>- ><- <> ><- <>- ><- <> ~~~ ><- <>- ><- <> Never read the fine print. There ain't no way you're going to like it.
