Credit inquiry

    TransUnion monitoring service has notified me that the following (hard) inquiry was added to my credit report:

    "DATE: 12/05/2000
    NEW INQUIRY
    JORDAN MARSH AUTH
    9111 DUKE BLVD MASON OH. 45040"

    I've never authorized it. Has anyone else seen this inquiry appear on his/her report? Thanks.

    Just a guess, but this could be part of the Federated Department Store chains. Jordan Marsh was a retail store.

    You're right. I've just discovered "Jordan Marsh" is actually Macy's.
