OC: Credit One Bank Balance: 1097 Collateral: Sold to another lender Pay Status: Charged off as bad debt Date Closed: 04/2008 CA: LVNV Funding Calance: 1601 Collateral: 12 Marin Pay Status: Collection Account Credit One sold the account to LVNV. But, they are both showing a balance. Is this when I should contact Credit One and see if they can pull it back from LVNV? Would I do that with a letter or phone call?
Just so you know...I am pretty sure that Credit One Bank and LVNV Funding share common ownership of some sort. They definately work hand in hand and I have read things that said they are the same company. All I know is that when I payed off my LVNV Funding debt, I got a pre-approved credit card offer from Credit One Bank on the same day as I got my Letter from LVNV Funding stating paid in full. Normally that wouldnt seem all that strange but I havent gotten credit card offers in about 5 years. I am only telling you this because I have heard that both companies are very hard to negotiate with...this information MAY come in handy if you are going to try to get Credit One Bank to pull your account back from LVNV Funding.
When did LVNV get the account? Also, is the original creditor and LVNV funding both showing balances?
