they have failed to validate in like 6 months now. they refuse to remove from the CRAs and they refuse to put in dispute. The attorney general in texas has tried for 4 months to get them to respond and they have ignored them totally. Now today I get a letter from the AG stating CP ignored them and they have to shut their file. Now I wanna see CP try and say they never knew. slam dunk baby here I come.

same thing happened to me...I took them to small claims court in Maryland....guess what...they "fixed the problem" and I got a nice check too....can't disclose how much or the details...but once you file...they will take you seriously..TRUST ME!!! I can't reveal their counsel (although it isnt too hard to find out) b/c of the confidentiality agreement...but I am sure somebody knows them on here....

Where are they from? I have 2 CAs from a similar sounding place- Creditors Protection Assoc. reporting to EX and and once to both EQ and TU.

Sent them validation letters and they never respond.

yep that is the same one. They have ignored intent to sue letters, validation letters, phone calls, estoppel letters, and the attorney general of texas. Now with letter they are pretty much screwed. I doubt a judge would care for the way they ignored an attorney general.

I must've gotten lucky with them. I faxed a validation request letter to them last month and they responded with a letter, dated the very same day, that they were removing the TL from all records and files. I figure it's because it's a very small debt (under $75) that they don't want to bother with.

Mine was 688. now it has suddenly changed to 188. They used 3 account numbers on my credit report. One with 688, one with 188, and one says paid. If they were are dumber they would lose the power of speech. Well, since they have never called maybe that has already happened.

flamva do you still have the fax number, if so I would really apperciate it if you could pass it on to me.

I sent them a validation letter and it has not been received yet. I got to looking on the bbb site and the noel rd address is not listed. The address on there is
    14001 N. Dallas PKWY
    Dallas, TX 75240

Wonder if I should send it to the address. But if any one has the fax number it sure would make things move a little faster.
    Thanks!

I only had the Dallas Pkwy address, too, so I'm glad I faxed it. I used the same fax number that picantel gave you above (972-385-9601). The letter I received from them has these phone numbers printed on it:

    Tel 972-233-9614 / 800-800-6499
    Fax 888-207-1819

    Re: Re: credit protection associates.

I awaiting response from them too.

The address # is 13355 Noel Road.

On EXP they list it as 1355 Noel Road.

I'm requesting procedure from EXP and they keep telling me they need more info to redispute. They are avoiding procedure.

Anyhow, they have the address listed incorrectly so that my be an angle on EXP for not reporting accurate info.

The receptionist at CPA gave this number for faxing disputes 972-726-7557
