I've recently become disabled, and have credit protection on several credit cards. I'm thinking of getting it on several more, to try to help me through a touch time. I have a couple of questions:

    1) Are these programs generally worthwhile? Do they tend to provide benefits fairly?

    2) Are there exclusion/waiting periods?

    3) Are there burdensome documentation requirements? Independent review, audit, or other forms of investigation?

    Thanks...

1.) No, they generally aren't worth the money and benefits are often quite difficult to qualify for

2.) Yes, there are probably waiting periods and lots of exclusions

3.) Yes, you generally have to jump through a lot of hoops to get your benefit.
