Hi all, is there a way I can know my credit score? I have a report from a year ago, but I don't think it has a score on it. Is there a way to calculate it from a sample credit report?

    Thanks.

The formula is topsecret so we can't calculate it on our own. Here's a site that will offer your score soon (for a hefty price):

The easiest way to get your credit score is from your creditor. Ask about this when you renew your loan or credit card limit increase. Since they want to keep you as a customer, they will usually talk to you about this. I made this part of the requirement when I sign up for the loan. If they will not be frank to me, I will bring my business elsewhere.

Equifax or TU will have NO intention to divulge this to you under any circumstances. I have listed a link as reference at the bottom of this page.

Calculate? No! The score is derived from statiscal computation using computer software since there are many variables involved. In fact, the score changes all the time depending on your balance and account activities (eg, inquiries at that time).

Have a look at this email and you will see the frustrations faced by consumers.

Equifax WILL be giving scores to consumers by the end of this month. TU was supposed to be end of last year we are still waiting for them to develop it LOL. I am sure Experian will follow the other 2
