What is a 'Credit Reference Letter'. I got an incorrect letter today from FirstSelect (about a Providian account) saying if I paid $3800, I would be able to request a 'credit reference letter'. Just wondering what that is. BTW, I got this letter totally in error, I called them as soon as I got it and the lady is like, 'oh my, they sent out the wrong letter', your account has had a zero balance since June. I just wanted to tell her what f$cking idiots they were, but didn't. Maybe, I can use this against them someday.
