I think that what you see in all those books is a rehash of all the same old pap served up daily by the credit bureaus and the credit counseling or debt consolidation companies. One never sees anything much about people's rights under the law and what they really are. Sure, lots of them tell you all about FDCPA and FCRA and other laws. Sure they tell you that you can get a lawyer to defend you against a judgment. That don't take much brains to figure out, but how many will tell you that a judgment is null and void upon it's face if the proper affidavits are not there? How many tell you that an attorney cannot give testimony in a case where he is representing a client, either plaintiff or defendant? Sure an attorney can give testimony before a court just like anybody else, but he cannot do so if he is also a legal participant in the case. How many of those books tell you that all the motions and briefs filed by attorneys are meaningless and of no factual value unless supported by affidavits or testimony of either plaintiff or defendant which can be either verbal under oath or signed by the affiant? How many tell you what constitutes legal service of summons? How many tell you that you might never have been sued even though you have a judgment against you? And the list goes on and on. For the most part, it's just the same old warmed over pap. How many take the time and trouble to go look up cases like Spears v Brennan and use what the court said to show you what a validation really is? They tell you to dispute, dispute, dispute but that's the same old pap the credit bureaus have been telling us since forever in the guise of "public service" They don't want you to find out anything new and even the credit repair books are few and far between. It's a mind control game and it will never cease.
What do you folks on this board think the credit industry would do if people quit diong business with them?
NanaC, I agree--I have gotten a lot of my books through e-bay and half.com. Would not pay full price for them. I go to dealtime.com and see who has it for the cheapest price. cariba
