I have been reading this board for about a week and heres my problem.... Yes I understand i can repair my credit by my self but would require me sending validation letters out keep track off all the dates disputing all kinds of stuff on mine and my wifes cr we barely have time for our selfs as it is now let alone to start this long and new project. Can anyone refer a really good credit repair agency in Florida or not that is not 50/50 i have read alot of posts so far and junum has about 90% bad posts and lexington about 65/35 any ways I know I will be Flammed for this because you all will say do it your self but you have to understand the time I have with My Wife and Son i cherrish what little time i get so plz dont flame me too bad thx
The MAJOR problems were MAKING "GOOD" ACCOUNTS GO BYE-BYE!!! JUNUM says that is a thing of the PAST...
Another problem is being charged if they dispute a "BADDIE"...they charge you even if it is NOT removed... I thought it was only pay if the "BADDIE" goes BYE-BYE...
It doesn't take as much time as you think. You write your disputes to the cra's which takes about 10 minutes, Mail them out. You are now done with that for the next 30 days til you get your responses. If you need to deal with ca's and validation letters, that may take yo an hour or so. You can do this in the evening when the kids are in bed. Your wife can help. It really doesn't take the time you think.
I have been using Lexington law Firm...they are very good and have gotten a lot of things deleted....give them a try....I am the same...now time to do it myself....too much hassle
Back on topic now... I posted something very similar a month or so ago. Maybe you can get some ideas about others experiences with the major credit repair firms from my post... http://consumers.creditnet.com/stra...threadid=24054&perpage=20&pgnum=&pagenumber=1
Biju, I understand where your comming from (I'm in the same situation). Anyway, I have been using Junum for about 3 months now, and I'm pretty disgusted with them. They did get a couple of things deleted (not much help) but what concerns me the most is that most of the items they claimed they've disputed were never accepted by the CRA and nevery even showed up as disputed items. Also apparently they started disputing addresses and now I'm locked out of my Experian reports as well LOL. From what people are saying on here, it sounds like Lexington would be the way to go, and I might give them a try myself. I wish you the best of luck, Sal
I hope you guys don't think this is awful or I am trying to be bbaurer (I'm not)!!! The truth is....I am a SAHM now that I just had my baby and I really would not mind doing this for you. I can see how some people think credit repair can be confusing or time consuming. I sugget getting into a ritual and you'll be fine. To be honest.. I've been doing this for so long (1998 when my ID was stolen) it's like second nature to me. All you need to do is get into a groove...lol! My 2 Cents and I hope you don't think I'm trying ot sale myself ....BUT.........I just don't see how lexington or junum will really help much since they ONLY dispute w/the CRA. To get your credit fixed you have to go after the OC and CA. Again... this is just my 2 cents.
Think very carefully about this before jumping in. Helping friends and relatives is one thing, but someone you don't know is quite another. I'm not saying anything will happen, but say for instance, you send a validation letter to a ca, who then properly validates, and then decides to sue the debtor. The person you are helping then gets p.o.ed at you and decides to sue you for causing this. Far fetched, I know, but anything is possible. I/m not saying that BiJu will do that. The potential liability is something to consider.
You are right LKH.. I didn't think about that. I just thought I would be nice. But sometimes... being nice can back fire.
