Can i improve my credit rating by asking a friend to give me a second visa card on her account. Her credit rating is excellent. I've heard the second card assigned to my name will attach her good record to my credit file thus improving it. If so, if i then close my second card will the amount be zero owed or will it still state whatever is owed. thanks
That can work but is not guaranteed. It's worth a shot, just be sure you remain current as to not affect her credit.
