Anyone know if it is possible to increase credit score by 11 points in two weeks and if so how? I have no late pays in last year on all open accounts, credit card are at zero balance except one which limit is 2500 and balance is $100. Student loans have been consolidated since feb 2011. I have one debt owed if less than $500 and it says past due $106 yet also states profit Loss and writeoff as of a few years ago. I was told not to pay it since I'm suppose to be closing on a mortgage loan at the end of the month. Trying to get FHA Loan but I'm short by 11points. The mortgage company says yes they can close by end of month if my score is there. I was added as an AU by my mil back in July 6th but account hasn't yet posted. It may take up to 90 days I hear and chase says it's usually sooner but who knows. They first said they dot even report AU Accts. Any sugg would be helpful. Thanks

Doing anything to improve your FICO scores in just 11 days will be tough. It sounds like you've taken all the right steps though. Adding yourself as an AU and paying down credit card balances should help give you a boost, but you're going to just have to wait until the AU account shows up on your credit reports. The other negative marks aren't going to come off in the next 2 weeks, so there's not much you can do there in the short term.

Thank for your reply. I think my score already had it's biggest boost when I paid my cred cards down back to zero back in march or April. So unfortunately I believe you're right I can't boost my score anymore aside from that AU acct b/c for thae last month I haven't seen any point increase besides 13 points from July to first week of august. Ill just pay on time like usual and cross my fingers I gain 11 points. Scary part is I have credit karma and my score on there dropped due to mortgage inquiries. I don't attenti the score itself since it's a fako but usually when score on their goes up so does my fico. Now I see the score has dropped and I'm concerned.

The only way I know that you can increase your credit score in eleven days is by adding yourself as an authorized user to one of your family member or friends existing credit card. The problem with that is they will probably not know what day of the month their credit card reports. You will see the results from the AU account once it reports on your credit. There are companies out their that specialize in authorized user accounts and they will know the exact day of of the month when their authorized user accounts report. Please be careful using one of these companies and do your research. Make sure you purchase a card that has payment history longer then what you already have established with your own credit cards. Thanks. Actually I did get added as AU to mil 20 year old chase slate card but it's still not reporting. I was added july 6 and cardclosing date each month is the 15th. bill is always due by the 12th. Chase said they don't report but I know they do and to all 3 bureaus. Mil and I do have same last name but diff addresses. So not sure if it will happen to post by the 22nd of august.

Chase will only report authorized user accounts if the cardholder and the authorized user have the same address. Otherwise the account will not show up on the authorized user's credit report.

Thank you for the info. If they only report those with the same address should I put the acct holders address in my report as mine? What would be suggested as the best way to get this acct to report as far as this address this is concerned?

I think it's always a good idea to simply use the same address as the primary account holder.

To update your address on your credit report you could contact each bureau separately and request an address change. Or you could update your address by doing a hard pull on your credit. When the lender requests your credit report it always asks for your address, so just make sure the lender will use the new updated address. Good Luck! Heather with BoostMyScore.NET
