Question for any one to answer When trying to get things deleted from your credit report, do the credit bureaus look at the date opened to justify the time frame, or do the look at the date of last activity? Thanks so much..
DOLA. However, sometimes the DOLA is inaccurate. If the debt is after 12/97, by law they must look at the "original date of delinquency" and then can indicate the DOLA as 120 days after that.... Section 623 defines the delinquency date for an account as the month and year that an account first became delinquent. This date is important because it is used by credit bureaus to measure the seven-year period that negative credit information may be reported under the FCRA.
