Credit Report inaccuracy w/ Fleet

    I check my credit reports at all 3 CBs and noticed that all 3 said that my Fleet Cash Rebate CC account had been closed at the request of the credit granter. This is very incorrect because I currently am using their CC, and have used it since checking - this is not some mixup on my part. I called up Fleet credit department to question this and the woman, who gave me a hard time, said that her credit report shows otherwise and that my account is open according to what she was looking at. I was wondering if they possibly switched me into a worse account without my knowledge, because I know they recently downgraded their Cash Rebate program and I only recently joined it. Has anyone heard of CC companies doing such things? I suggest that this happened because I called someone at customer service first who told me that she couldn't verify whether my account was under the Cash Rebate program or not. I trust her over the person at customer service who I think was trying to pull the wool over my eyes. I am going to print out all 3 credit reports and send them to Fleet. In the meantime should I contact the credit bureaus and dispute the fact that the account has been closed by the creditor or should I just wait for Fleet to make the move? Thanks a bunch!

    Ask the CRA'S to report it "CORRECTLY"...OPEN/NEVER LATE.
    If you have a closed account...CLOSED/NEVER LATE.

    And "ACCOUNT CLOSED BY CONSUMER."
