Hi, Every time I loging to my credit report,I see someone has try to pull my credit like Banks,morgtage company, collection agency. I do owne a debt to one copmany. My questions is : do all these companies have the right to pull out my credit withou asking? Those it hurt my credit every time someone pulls my credit? can I disput any of these? Also I had to fille for Bankcrupcy in 2002 and it still shown on my credit.Also some of the credit cards that they where charge off when I filled bankrupcy still showing on my report can I take them off my report? can I also take the bankrupcy off it has been 8 years now and all still showing still can I clean any thing out please? What you're probably seeing in most cases are "soft pulls", which have no effect on your credit scores. "Hard pulls", on the other hand, are recorded when you apply for credit and do have a small effect on your credit score. If you feel like someone has initiated a hard pull without permissible purpose, you can always dispute it through the CRAs. You probably can't do anything about the BK yet. A chapter 7 BK will likely sit on your reports for 10 years. Also, any credit cards that were part of the BK should report as "included in bankruptcy" with a $0 balance. If they're still reporting open or with a balance, dispute them through the CRAs as well.
Debt companies can pull out your credit report in an attempt to collect a debt. They may also use your credit report to see if you have other means to pay your debt.
What you mean with other means? Do they check DMV to see if you own a car? Can they go after the car or any thing? Thanks
